So I have just had m final review and it seemed to go very well. Best news is that I do not have to matte my pieces for the show. They thought that it would look better just well printed with rough edges. So I have spent two days printing and printing and I am happy with what I have to show for my work. The show will be up from the 2nd till the 17 of May. I have also been accepted to a continuing education show as well in May. I am very happy for that.
I will hate to have to move out of my studio space but since it seems they are moving the building that houses the print studio from across the street to away a few blocks, I am glad that I am graduating when I am. It is hard enough going back and forth across the street and up a few blocks. Carrying 12 zinc plates a few blocks away and then coming back for paper and then tools and ink then having to truck it all back, no thank you.
I do have to find a home for all my plants though. My Philodendron is over 5 feet long, it is a cutting from one that was 21 feet long, and I know that my orange tree just will not be happy with less light in my small apartment. I still have not thought of what to do with my sweet peas, which want to climb up everything. I think that I might give a few away to people with larger and more bright apartments.
So now I have graduation coming up. It is on the 16th, my birthday of all days. I know that that will be a long day in deed. I heard that the grad school kids go first so that might be a great way to get the heck out of Dodge. I am not going to sit 4 hours and wait for the whole school to graduate.
