Description
This is a vase that I made for mother's day for my mom.
We had an empty vase around the studio and no one wanted it so I claimed it and slapped some glass on it to make it mother worthy.
I had some spare glass under my table so I traced the side of the vase, made four identical templates, got a tube of silicone, popped off the back and buttered the vase like toast with it.
After a 24 hour sit, you can then take of the tape and grout it.
After about 5 hours, you can do your final clean up and there you go, a nice vase for mom.

We sell stuff called pva laminating glue...
But I have taught classes where the students use elmers glue.
I would be nervous to use silicone... Don't ask me why, but I feel that there is a reason
The grout does all the work anyway. Very nice, though!
I designed a mosiac birdbath; but it never left the drawing board. I'll have to post it...
